Why RESNET Accreditation & Certification?
What is a RESNET accreditation? The Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) accredits organizations like HET Institute to certify individuals as RESNET Home Energy Survey Professionals or HERS Raters. When you hold a RESNET certification, it means that you have qualified to meet RESNET standards in the building energy certification industry. What is RESNET and why is this important? RESNET is the organization that sets the national standards by which building energy performance is measured and certified. RESNET standards are widely recognized by organizations including the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency and the mortgage industry, to name a but few. A RESNET accreditation gives you credibility in the energy audits and home improvement industry and since you are required to meet RESNET standards of performance anyway, this is an important point. In addition to that, many government incentives that are normally available to your clients will depend upon whether or not you hold a RESNET accreditation. The HET Institute offers a full range of RESNET certification courses to help get you started.

What Others Have To Say:
Home Energy Team Institute provided me with the basic knowledge and hands-on skills to start doing home energy audits immediately. The instructor was focused on the required training content and was also very responsive to questions from the participants. He was able to answer both practical and technical questions and blend them into the general discussion. The test preparation materials were very good and I had no problem passing the RESNET Level II Exam. Overall I am very happy with the course and the results.
